Development of an innovative technology for manufacturing reusable forging tools with increased durability for strategic, from a national security point of view, forgings in the military and automotive industries, to improve the efficiency and stability of their production through the use of artificial intelligence and virtual reality HMD goggles.

Project time frame: 01.05.2025 - 31.10.2028

The project is implemented in partnership - the leader is Schraner Polska, while the partners are the Faculty of Metals Engineering and Industrial Computer Science of the AGH University of Krakow and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Department of Metal Forming, Welding and Metrology of the Wrocław University of Technology.

AGH's participation in the project is related to cooperation with Schraner Polska to develop advanced IT solutions for innovative prototyping technology and the production of a new generation of reusable tools for precision forging. AGH's research will be carried out in the field of the development of an AI-based knowledge system supported by 3D scanning techniques and virtual reality.

The result of the entire project will be an innovative technology for the production of a new generation of reusable precision forging tools. In particular, the proposed solution will ensure the rapid, intelligent production of high-performance, reusable forging dies for forging hammers.

The total cost of the Project is PLN 16,062,777.66

The total amount of funding is PLN 11,436,056.05
