Industrial Digitalization and Multiscale Modeling Group is part of the Department of Applied Computer Science and Modeling at the Faculty of Metals Engineering and Industrial Computer Science AGH.
Research activity of the IDMSM division is mainly focused in the field of application of the computer science in:
- metal forming,
- metallurgy,
- materials science,
- process engineering,
- mechanics.
The goal is to solve problems arising during development of modern as well as the optimization of existing industrial technologies. Various numerical approaches starting from the conventional modeling techniques finishing on complex multiscale models are used and developed within the MsM division. Particularly interesting are multiscale models based on discrete approaches, where information from various scales can be taken into account to describe macroscopic material response.
