Cooperation: Institute for Ferrous Metallurgy in Gliwice (prof. R. Kuziak)

Goals:

  • Development of the complex modelling platform dedicated for fast and efficient creation of various microstructure evolution models on the basis of the cellular automata method.
  • Development of the work flow concept capable to join various microstructure evolution models into single solution.
  • Development of advanced visualization software designed to work with the cellular automata Framework.
  • Development and implementation of the static recrystallization model.
  • Development and implementation of the austenite-ferrite phase transformation model.

Methodology:

  • Numerical simulations – cellular automata method,
  • Finite element method.
  • Optical and electron microscopy, Gleeble 3800 simulator.
